Lance and I got married last month. I can't believe it has already been 6 weeks! Time flies when you're having fun! And we are definitely having fun!

Since my name is no longer Amy Caldeorn, I thought it prudent to change the company name and website. So, this weekend we are introducing the world to Pink Lizard Photography! I have a new blog to go along with the new site, too. That new blog has already been getting more attention than this one, so scroll through to see any posts you might have missed while we transitioned them over. And many thanks to my buddy, Johnny Z, for designing the brand new logo. Isn't she pretty?

As you might know, I messed up my knee back in March and haven't been doing much shooting. Well, I had surgery to repair the tear in May and on Wednesday my doctor released me back to my normal life! I'm so excited to be cleared for "any activity the knee will tolerate". As a test, we went out yesterday to take some pictures. I did just fine, so I guess that means I'm open for business again! I'm so excited!

Dalom - revisted

Don't they look like they are having fun? Most of the pictures are like this. They were having such a great time laughing and playing around. It was like I wasn't even there.

And this one... just a happy accident. I was messing with my camera controls trying to adjust some settings when B(rad) came over and laid on the ground under my camera. So grateful my finger was on the shutter button. I love this picture!

Elizabeth Hits Double Digits

My baby is turning 10 years old! Where has the time gone? I can't believe she has hit double digits already. It seems like just yesterday we were trying to figure out what to name her.

Tonight we had a little slumber party with her friends to celebrate her birthday. The girls decided they wanted to do hair and makeup and get their pictures taken. Aren't the beautiful?

I had the opportunity to take a few pictures of my brother Richard's family last weekend. They are expecting a baby boy in January so in addition to some family shots, I got a few maternity pictures, too.

My poor daughter needs one of those shirts that says, "My mom is the paparazzi!" She has lived her entire life in front of the camera lens. She isn't always cooperative when I pull out the camera, but sometimes, like yesterday, she hams it up. I was able to get several great photos of her yesterday while we played around at the Botanic Gardens in Fort Worth.

The one here on the left might be new favorite picture of all time.

I recently had the privelege of doing a photo shoot with a very talented band, Dälom.

I had so much fun hanging out with them and shooting for a couple of hours.

They even introduced me to a new place to eat heavenly food - Babe's Chicken. Yum!

After a couple of hours shooting in the sweltering heat (they were troopers who never

complained), we headed over to The Project House for some live action shots.

Wow! Talk about some amazing talent. They were incredible. If you get a chance, go see

them perform. You won't be sorry.

Samantha is a beautiful young lady who is a Senior this year at Colleyville Heritage High School. I've known her for several years and just can't believe she is so grown up!

I've known Brittney since she was about 7 or 8 years old. She has grown into a beautiful young woman and allowed me to photograph her a few weeks ago. She is simply stunning, isn't she?

By the way, the feet were for her mom. I accidentally shot a picture a few years ago of her mom and dad's feet that she loved. Now every time I take pictures of the family, I make sure to get a feet picture.

My good friend Chuy and his girlfriend are expecting a baby in just a few months. Last weekend I had the privilege of meeting Yesenia and taking some maternity pictures. Chuy is a big kid, as the thumbs up and funny faces show in these pictures. Yesenia is a beautiful person, inside and out. And she has NO stretchmarks when 7 months pregnant. Not fair!

Elizabeth is a daddy's girl. She loves her daddy and would rather spend time with him than do almost anything else. She has been begging me for weeks to have pictures taken with him, but the weather just wouldn't cooperate. It has rained every time we made plans to grant her request. Well, today we did it, but just in the nick of time. It started pouring in the middle of the session, so the middle quickly became the end. We got some good shots and I'm sure she'll want prints of all of them.

Do you remember Dylan? We took this picture last year shortly after he learned that he was going to be a big brother.

My friends Leigh Ann and Mike had a baby just over a week ago. William Michael is just adorable! I had the privilege of spending yesterday afternoon with him and his family. I had a marvelous time and was able to take lots and lots of pictures. I've known Leigh Ann since her daughter Brittney was about 6 or 7 years old. Britt is about to be a teenager now and is such a wonderful big sister. Watching her with her little brother was touching. I'm so happy for this family. Will is a welcome addition to an already beautiful family.

A few years ago when I did portraits for Leigh Ann and Mike, I had a happy accident. I accidentally shot a picture of their feet that turned out wonderfully. I had to try to repeat the "mistake" yesterday so we could get the whole family of feet up on their wall. Who do you think has the biggest feet?

They are getting married in October and I'll be taking pictures for them at the wedding, too. I'm so excited about their wedding. On Sunday I photographed Erin and Elyssa. They were one of my contest winners from last month. It was such an awesome afternoon and I got to hang out with people that I felt like I had known forever. I had a wonderful time getting to know Erin and her daughter. We played at the park for a little while, but then they broke out their matching Mickey Mouse Star Wars shirts, so I just had to get some fun pictures of that, too!

Erin, I had a great time and I'm so glad that we finally met!

This is my favorite shot of the day. The love these two have for each other is so evident when you are around them. This picture shows you just a little bit of that love that Erin has for her little girl.

The matching shirts. Aren't they cool? They got them at Disney World a couple of years ago and Elyssa's was just the right size for this session. I was so excited to see them. We had some fun with them over at the transmission shop.

My little helper was my daughter. She wanted to meet Elyssa so she offered to carry my bag all day. She did it with very little complaining and was quite helpful scoping out spots.

My daughter discovered Monchhichis while we were in the Japanese gift shop at Disney. I loved them as as a child and she adored them, too. Do you remember them? We opted not to buy one, but she had to have a picture taken.

I’m overwhelmed by the huge response I received for the free session giveaway. I had no idea I had so many loyal followers and fans. I am truly humbled by both the sheer number of entries and by the many wonderful notes of encouragement and praise that I received. Thank you!!!

I compiled all the entries I received and let my awesome judge review them. She whittled them down to a handful of entries and then I enlisted another friend to help me make the final decision. There were so many wonderful stories and entries and it was so difficult to choose just three, but we did.

The winners of the free session are Amanda W., Danny L, and Erin G.

Amanda is getting married this fall and has a very limited budget for engagement and wedding pictures. She told me the story of her relationship with her fiancé and how they have been together for six years. They had their troubles awhile back, but since they both submitted to God and His authority, their relationship has flourished. They are both so excited to finally be getting married. They need to get their engagement session done soon, so look for those pictures coming up as soon as we can get them done!

Danny told me that he and his wife have been married for seven years. They have never had a portrait done together. He wants to surprise his wife with this session and prints. It breaks my heart that they have no other pictures together, but I’m honored to provide them with their first portrait session as husband and wife!

Erin is a single mother, an elementary school teacher, and a Star Wars fanatic. She has been following me online for quite some time. She wrote about how she would love pictures with her daughter and how it is time she finally meet me since she has been a “blog-stalker” for so long. I agree. I can’t wait to take pictures of her and her daughter, and maybe the family dog, too.

For everybody else that entered, I truly am honored that you took the time to share your story with me. There were so many wonderful entries that it was so hard to pick only three. As a thank you, I’d like to extend the offer of a discounted session anytime in 2009, so long as you book the session this month.

My daughter loves to have her picture taken. She has 1,000 different faces and lets me see them all through the lens of my camera. I love photographing her almost as much as she loves having her picture taken. These are a few recent pictures from a road trip we took last month.

In order to get to know me, you have to get to know my people. These are people that I love. They are my family. Some of them are related by blood, but all of them are related through love. By meeting the people most important in my life, I hope you gain a little insight into who I am.
